When I was a child, I fell in love with the magic of books and movies. I’m still in love today.
As an English Major at UCLA, I had the chance to attend Oxford University for a year. After that profound and romantic year, I knew two things – I wanted to go back to England and I wanted to study acting. So I finished my degree at UCLA, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, then moved to London where I spent two unforgettable years studying acting and, eventually, performing in Covent Garden.
On returning to America I settled in New York, where I’ve been living since, acting, writing, creating. Today if I’m not in front of a camera, behind a microphone, or prepping an audiobook, I’ll probably be in the garden, knitting or sewing, cooking, or writing.
Some facts about me:
I was in the merchant marine! I signed on as messman and spent a summer sailing between Long Beach California and Valdez Alaska aboard the second largest tanker on the seas at the time.
I once modeled in a charity fashion show at the Oxford Union.
As lead singer in the pop rock band Primrose Hill, I got to sing – sometimes in French! – at some of New York’s most fun downtown venues, and with some incredible musicians.
I can bake anything. Even French macarons.
